Fraternity Records was Cincinnati’s 2nd most successful recording company, behind King Records (check out our previous post on their history!)

Fraternity Records was founded in 1954 by Harry Carlson and Dr. Ashton Welsh. In the 1950s and 60s, Fraternity produced hits by local singer Cathy Carr, Jimmy Dorsey, Lonnie Mack, and The Casinos!

The label was purchased by Shad O’Shea in 1975, and Fraternity Record recordings are still available from the UK-based Ace Records Ltd.
