Queen City Cabaret is a Cincinnati-based arts organization that brings evocative performances of vintage pop and jazz to concert halls across the midwest and beyond.

Founded by professional musicians and friends Sarah Folsom and Matthew Umphreys in 2018, QCC celebrates the beloved songs and stories of 20th century American music with heartwarming concerts in intimate settings. With their signature twist of whimsy, QCC’s expertly-curated performances are designed to take listeners on a “sentimental journey,” reviving and refreshing timeless classics from the Great American Songbook that still resonate deeply with today’s audiences.

“Count Your Blessings: A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney”

This concert is QCC's celebration of one of the most influential jazz and pop vocalists of the 20th century, Rosemary Clooney. In this concert, we pay tribute to Clooney’s musical mastery and signature vocal style with fresh arrangements of her biggest hits, interspersing the music with casual storytelling about the songstress’s life. The musical style evokes the feeling of a 1950s nightclub, complete with Latin beats, soaring ballads, and smoky torch songs.

If you could bring back vocalists Rosemary Clooney, Sarah Vaughan and Edith Piaf as well as pianists Bobby Short and Eddy Duchin—you’d have an idea of what great cabaret performing once was. But, you don’t have to because Sarah Folsom and Matthew Umphreys, ‘Queen City Cabaret,’ synthesize the greats of the past with the verve of today.
